Kids from around the world come to the Stetson Country Christmas to compete every year for the past 18 years in this OPEN Dummy Roping competition. A Country Christmas favorite, the World Championship Dummy Roping is the ORIGINAL Dummy Roping in Las Vegas. The WCDR is held on the Main Stage in the Ariat Arena located in the Sands Expo on December 12th through the 14th, 2013.

Children 6 years and under, 7 to 9 years old, and 10-12 years old will compete for prizes and the title of World Champion Dummy Roper. The World Champion Cowboys judging this inspiring and educational event always include some of the top stars from the National Finals.

Hundreds of little Ropers from coast to coast will compete for the World Championship Dummy Roping title. Prizes have included tack, roping supply products, trophy saddles and much much more to. Consultation prizes are also awarded to all participants of the WCDR, made possible by the tremendous amount of contributors and Corporate Sponsors involved with this legendary event.

Judy retired from her position at the completion of the 2009 WCDR event at the Ariat Country Christmas, leaving thousands of touched young Ropers of the future with a lasting impression and a tremendous amount of education. A father of four, Richard is a producer of Junior rodeos, raises bucking bulls and was an announcer for the 2009 PBR World Finals in Las Vegas, NV

Anthony Lucia has a gifted ability to entertain and possesses a personality that excites the contestants and the audience. Anthony is also the host of “The Anthony Lucia” show, also hosted on the Main Stage in the Stetson Arena. The Stetson Country Christmas founded the show in 2008, along with host Mr. Lucia. Ever since, the show has been booming with popularity!
